Mike Mahn built a garage & deck addition for us. The new structure is solid surface brick and concrete that seamlessly integrates with the original home. The design & implementation are both outstanding, and it is now a focal point for both family time and outdoor entertaining. With any project, there will be some surprises or unknowns. Mike and the job foreman, Bob, did an excellent job of communicating throughout the process so that I understood exactly what the issues were, and how to address them. There were change orders involved, but there was a clearly defined process using a web-based job software, so there were no surprises when it came time for contractual matters and billing. Mike has always responded to call-backs without question, and continues to monitor the project in the event new issues arise. He took ownership for his work, and holds his sub-contractors to the same standard, which as a homeowner, I very much appreciate.

We wish to offer our thanks to Mike Mahn, John Stanley, and everyone at Mahn Custom Homes & Renovations for the professionalism and effort they put into constructing our new home in Kirkwood. Of the three house-building experiences we have found our most recent venture the most enjoyable, by far. We felt that Mike Mahn was a man of his word and worked hard to keep open and prompt lines of communication with us regarding the myriad of issues involved in designing and building a custom home. Rarely did more than an hour or two pass before Mike returned email or phone message inquiries with an answer. The same was true about John Stanley, the site manager. Both Mike and John were down-to-earth, friendly, and honest. From the outset we had a positive experience.

Mike Mahn remodeled the home my wife inherited after her mother passed away. He brought in an architect, Jeff Day, to completely design the remodel. Mike and Jeff sat down with us to get a good idea of what we wanted and our likes. The resulting architectural drawings were outstanding! The design reflected our likes to a "T"! Mike and his crew did a phenomenal job of completely gutting the small brick home and transforming it into our new dream home. The finished product had the neighborhood doing slow cruises in front of the house for months to appreciate the "new" home. The home was transformed from an 1950s 3 bedroom, 1 bath home to a craftsman 3 bedroom, 2 bath craftsman style home with an open concept. Family members can't believe it is the "same" house! We highly recommend Mahn Custom Homes!

Mike is always a pleasure to work with. I think the quality of work is very good, Mike obviously works with the same sub-contractors as we saw "friends" from our first project back on the second. Mike is incredibly responsive and very cool under fire. I would absolutely recommend Mike and would use him on other projects.
